Rubyfish Studio is what my daughter Sophie and I have named our teeny-tiny Etsy shop.  Sophie does all the designs and then together we make our hand-dyed clothing, adding hand-carved stamp art and textile painting…and just generally have a ton of fun.  We’ve made yoga pants, tank tops, t-shirts, dresses for little girls, funny panties, toe socks, and scarves.  Who knows what we’ll do next?

And here is a post from 2008 (omg that feels like a lifetime ago) where I described our then tie-dye process.  It hasn’t changed much, although we’ve gotten trickier with experience and Sophie has taken over as Chief Designer.
