happy birthday ursula!
Ursula K. LeGuin, arguably my favorite writer, turns 80 today. Happy Birthday, gal! You’re doing a great job.
And for the rest of y’all, have you read Lathe of Heaven? Have you read Lavinia? Have you read Earthsea? I mean lately. If you haven’t, I highly recommend you do. Get thee to a library, amazon, or to your own dusty tree-book shelf and commence with the amazement. She’s just that good.
Ursula, I’m not worthy!

"Dusi's Wings" April, 2003. . . .
"One thing fantasy can do for us is to give shape to the mysterious in the world; another is to make emotional yearning concrete. The early sections of "Dusi's Wings" do just that...there was a strong grasping towards the spiritual in fantasy here that was very promising, and I look forward to reading more by Lassiter." --review, Tangent Online.twitterage

I second your opinion of this writer. And if you haven’t read The Wave in the Mind, you’ve missed a book that every writer should read.
Hey, thanks for the tip! Somehow I had missed that one. It’s on order as we speak. I got the last 4 dollar copy, woo hoo!
My favorite author… easily.
