Wonderful narrative of your crawdad feast. You should submit this to 'crawdad weekly', if there was such a thing. I hit on your post by googling green slime, crawdads. I live in colorado and have always known I could eat these cradads I kept seeing while I was fishing but never took the effort to catch one. But, tonight one of the buggers was eating on a fish I had caught and put on the stringer, so I figured fair play was turnabout... Anyway I ate the tail but was perplexed by the green slime. I thought I didnt cook them long enough, it's good to know that the slime is supposed to be there. BTW I will never be a hardcore and suck out said slime, no thanks. I'll be going out with my cradad trap next time so I can try eating them again, this time more than just one to see how they taste.
