oh, no, not again
They have freaking canceled my tv show again. I swear to gawd, why do they keep doing that? Firefly is good case in point. Do they come over to find out what I like so they can go cancel it? Am I so perverse that I only come to like shows that are doomed to early cancellation? I’m so annoyed. Oh, what’s the show? Moonlight–yeah, I like vampire tv, so sue me. Vampire solidarity, ra ra. They canceled Bloodties, too, another vamp show, I liked, but that’s old news. I keep telling myself that, if it were a movie, I would have gotten two hours, tops, of my lovely little vampire fix, but since it had at least one season, even a wimpy writer-strike season, I got 16 eps x 45 min (or so) per ep, that’s 12 hours of show, right? I should be happy it wasn’t a movie. But still, the promise of a second season was another 22 eps and, okay, I know, I’m whining, and some people are having their city bombed, or their kids are starving, or they’ve got rectal cancer, so I should just shut up.

"Dusi's Wings" April, 2003. . . .
"One thing fantasy can do for us is to give shape to the mysterious in the world; another is to make emotional yearning concrete. The early sections of "Dusi's Wings" do just that...there was a strong grasping towards the spiritual in fantasy here that was very promising, and I look forward to reading more by Lassiter." --review, Tangent Online.tags
